Where it can matter is the surrounding infrastructure: an app store that will not show you a listing, or a service that checks the connecting region.<\/p>\n<p>If you do use one, four things are worth knowing, because they cost people far more than any restriction does:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Free VPNs are the expensive option.<\/strong> A service with no subscription is being paid some other way, and that way is usually your traffic data. If a VPN is worth using at all, it is worth paying for.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Never enter a recovery phrase while troubleshooting a connection.<\/strong> The moment you are frustrated and switching networks is exactly when people paste twelve words into the wrong window. Set the wallet up calmly, once, and never type that phrase again.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A VPN does not make an unofficial installer safe.<\/strong> Where the app came from matters far more than which IP downloaded it.
